Always believed there would come a day
When everything goes my way
Trying to catch my elusive dreams
I still await that day…

And, it seems I’m always chasing rainbows.
Searching for that distant pot of gold.
Living through my lifetime
With a hope that's 'round the bend
Scanning through the landscape
For a treasure at it's end.
Yes, it seems I’m always chasing rainbows.
For as my hopes and dreams begin to near
With each step I take forward, as I persevere
They all seem to fade and disappear.

I realize it takes rain and sun
For a rainbow to be seen
But, it seems the sun shines on everyone
While the storms rain down on me.

So, it seems I’m always chasing rainbows
On a quest for colors ‘cross the sky
Are they an illusion of dreams beyond my grasp?
Or, could they be a symbol of goals I reach, at last?
Yes, it seems I’m always chasing rainbows
Hoping that some day my dreams come true
And if I ever find it, that answer I pursue
I’ll be chasing rainbows, boldly
As my new life starts unfolding,
I’ll be chasing rainbows holding you.

Bergh performs on piano with vocal stylings in the Pop, Rock and Jazz Vocal genres.
